Rebranding for Q4: How to Audit Your Business and Focus on What Works

As we move into Q4, it’s time for a shift—both in mindset and strategy. I’ve been taking a closer look at my business, what’s been working, and what needs to be left behind. This is the perfect time for a business audit, a process that can help you align with what’s truly driving your success. Let’s dive into how you can start your own audit, shift your focus, and go into the new quarter with clarity.

1. Why You Should Audit Your Business

Rebranding and realignment don’t happen overnight. It starts with understanding what’s actually moving the needle for your business. We often get caught up in the day-to-day grind—posting on social media, networking, responding to emails—but how often do we stop and assess what’s working?

Auditing allows you to:

  • Identify where your business is truly thriving (Google, Pinterest, word-of-mouth referrals, etc.)
  • Let go of the platforms and strategies that aren’t converting
  • Refocus your energy on what delivers the most impact

2. What’s Working? What’s Not?

A key part of this process is shelving what doesn’t serve you. Ask yourself:

  • Where is my business coming from?
  • What’s driving actual revenue or client engagement?
  • What platforms are working for my business?

It’s easy to get distracted by what looks popular online, but your business’ success depends on focusing on what brings in results, not just attention.

3. Nurturing the Right Channels

Once you identify what’s working, it’s time to nurture those avenues. Whether it’s Pinterest, Instagram, Google, or email marketing, lean into those channels. Too often, business owners spread themselves too thin, trying to be active on every platform. But growth happens when you put your energy where it counts. The best way to know where clients are coming from is to ask! I know so simple but so effective. Add the question to your booking page or ask your clients during their consultation call.

Stop chasing every platform and instead, focus on where your audience is already engaging with you. This is how you build sustainable momentum. A lot of business owners will focus all their efforts on Instagram and stress themselves out about posting but when I ask how many clients they get from social media, it’s next to nothing. So why are we adding stress to our already stressful job?

4. Letting Go of Pressure

Auditing your business also means letting go of the pressure to “do it all.” You don’t need to post everywhere every day. Ask yourself:

  • Is this post, video, or strategy going to propel my business forward?
  • Am I speaking to the right audience with intention?

Focus on creating intentional, meaningful content that aligns with your brand goals. Quality over quantity wins every time.

The power of a business audit lies in clarity and confidence. By focusing on what works and letting go of what doesn’t, you’re giving yourself the opportunity to truly thrive in Q4 and beyond.
