Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I spent 14 years designing for some of the world's largest fashion retailers. In 2018, I made the decision that changed everything I left corporate fashion to reclaim my time and build something that actually lit me up. I wasn't sure what that looked like yet, so I did what any curious creative would do: I booked a one-way ticket and backpacked through Europe and Africa, visiting 34 countries in search of my next chapter.

I launched K Gill Photo in 2019 and haven't put it down since.
As a Black woman photographer in Los Angeles, I built this business to create a space where creative entrepreneurs especially women feel celebrated, confident, and seen in front of the lens. No stiff poses. No awkward "stand here and smile." We move, we vibe, and we capture the real you the one your dream clients need to see.
My background in fashion design means I see light, composition, and style differently. Every session is intentional, editorial, and built around you and what you do.
